Welcome
I made this blog to be able to share my photos with family and friends and tell them a little about the photos I share. It has also become a sort of journal for me as I learn about photography.
I bought my camera in October of 2008 and started this blog in January of 2009. Although I've learned a lot about photography, I'm still working on the fundamentals.
I currently own 1 digital SLR camera.
Nikon D60.
I have 3 lens I use.
AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR
AF-S DX VR Zoom-Nikkor 55-200mm f/4.5-5.6G IF-ED
Sigma 30mm f/1.4 EX DC HSM.
If I do any major post editing to my photos, I'll post what I did and try to tell how I did it.

This is our cat, "Sneeze". We named her sneeze because when we first found her as a newborn kitten, she had a cold, or something, because she kept sneezing all the time. Sneeze is an old kitty cat now. I'd say she's around 13 years old. She's a good cat, but she just couldn't give a care in the world about anything besides her supper.
So yesterday was our daughter's birthday. Jade turned 10 years old and she said it was her best birthday ever. This is a photo I took while we were opening presents with the family.
I finally got around to buying new batteries for my camera along with a new charger. The charger arrived before the batteries did and I decided to see if my old charger was broken by trying to charge my old batteries which I thought were dead. Turns out, it was my charger. In fact, all the batteries I ever bought for my camera that I thought had died, I saved and recharged them all with my new charger. I now have 6 batteries for my camera, great.
So this is just a quick post before I go to work. I finally backed up all my photos from about a year ago (way too many). After exporting my catalogs, I burned 13 DVDs worth of photos with my recently purchased Titanium Toast 11. I'll write more about that later though.
OK, off to work!

Congratulations to your daughter.
And, congratulations for new found wealth of batteries, but more importantly for a working camera.

Keep the language clean please. I have family that see this. Tell us what part of the world you're in.
